late bloomer
I didn’t begin modeling or acting until after I turned 40. And it happened by accident. In 2008, on a whim I auditioned for the Rocky Mountain Revels, a large ensemble vocal troupe that performs an annual Christmas show in Boulder. Not only did I sing well enough to join them, but I was cast in the show’s comedic melodrama. While I had no idea what I was doing, I was hooked on the challenge of it.
From there, I began studying acting in earnest. My classroom for more than a decade was Chris Thatcher’s studio in Boulder. I learned all aspects of film and theater, with a strong foundation in the Meisner Technique and the Michael Chekhov Technique. During this time, I also worked with Jennifer McCray Rincon at VisionBox in Denver.
Over the years, I’ve appeared in shows and films throughout the Greater Denver Area, including the award-winning “Casting Jon Benet” by Australian director Kitty Green. My favorite role was the Springsteen-loving Joe in the 2017 regional premiere of “Flowers in the Desert.” In 2020, I got into voice acting, playing the lead character of Stuart Fallow in the podcast Foreword, a serial drama that chronicled how one family dealt with the aftermath of a school shooting. Currently, I keep sharp doing crisis intervention training with Two Penny Productions.
My modeling work sprang from acting, and I quickly developed a talent for it. In fact, I now boast a long roster of regular clients, including cycling brand Pearl Izumi and noted Denver production and casting companies, Run West Productions and Pretty Piranhas. I’ve been featured in lifestyle spots for clients all over Colorado, including the statewide “Stepping Up” PSA campaign promoting mask-wearing and a national tourism campaign for Vail Resorts..
I represent myself and book all my own work. That means you will always deal with me directly. Please scroll down for samples of my work, including head shots and clips from my reel.
